01 / About
I started as an industrial engineer — building data tools and machine-learning models to make operations measurably better — and grew into owning the whole path from raw data to decision: pipelines, data models, BI, and now governed AI that answers questions from company data. Today I lead a seven-person software and infrastructure team at a manufacturer, own roughly $220k a year in software and vendor contracts, and work across networking, virtualization, and database teams to deliver. I set the roadmap, make the build-versus-buy calls, and stay close enough to the work to review the architecture and write code when it matters. Outside the day job I contract for Pinnacle Data Solutions and take on independent consulting through sanders.solutions.

Lead a 7-person team — 4 direct reports in software and 3 indirect in infrastructure — covering development, BI, AI, and the Linux/VM estate.
Own ~$220k/yr in software and vendor contracts, including Tableau and Datadog: selection, negotiation, renewals, and the relationships.
Set the company's applied-AI direction and the BI and infrastructure roadmaps; make build-versus-buy decisions and sequence the work.
Deliver across networking, virtualization, and database teams and with operations and finance, who depend on the data.
Use evals, tests, and release gates as a management practice: changes ship when they're measured to be right, not when they feel done.
